What connects, and what stays local
Local processing and online services have separate boundaries. You can skip the gallery and continue recording, transcribing and writing offline.

A configuration cannot grant permission
Opening a configuration from the site only opens a preview. The app validates model IDs, parameter ranges and file size, rejecting commands, custom download URLs, paths and unknown fields. It cannot start recording, upload content or trigger automatic downloads.
Local storage is not encryption
OmaScribe does not currently encrypt local recordings or notes at the application level. Use OS account protection and disk encryption. You are responsible for exported files.
Website requests
The site has no visitor analytics, external fonts or third-party runtime scripts. Logos and page assets are served from this domain. Hosting and download services still process network metadata such as IP addresses and request times.
Versions and source
The site can update with GitHub code and release metadata. A website update does not automatically replace the desktop app or its models. Downloads show the actual installer version.
